The company BMW will launch in 2018 convertible version of its super-hybrid i8. This was announced by the president of the German producer Harald Krueger at a special conference in Munich. In his statement the boss of Bayern affected mostly eco-models development of the brand. He announced that the production version of the i8 roadster will hardly differ from the prototype shown more in 2012. The open version will get hardtop, which will have to remove by hand from the driver.
Kruger added that the BMW planned development of engines using alternative fuel sources. Among them are those of hydrogen, which is currently set to test prototypes of the car brand and provide a single charge mileage of over 700 km.
Targeting similar patterns in no way means that the Bavarians will ignore creating uncompromising sports car. The head of the BMW was adamant that the line M and M Performance will continue to expand.
