Allegations that Audi is preparing a “hot” version of his youngest crossover – Q2, proved true. Magazine Autocar published photos of a prototype car that is tested on the northern arc of the Nurburgring. The model will be named SQ2 and will be equipped with 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 310 hp of hatchback Audi S3. Compact SUV will get a different grille, new bumper with enlarged air intakes, widened fenders and exhaust system with twin pipes.
In April it was reported that Audi SQ2 will appear before an audience at the end of 2017. Recent information, however, suggest that the company will postpone the debut of crossovers a year. Immediately after that Audi will release a more powerful version of the model – RS Q2. She will receive 2.5-liter gasoline engine with 367 hp, which puts hatchback RS3.
The standard Audi Q2 debuted in March this year, sales will start in November. The compact crossover is equipped with petrol and diesel engines, developing from 116 to 190 hp. Prices for models not yet known.
